Romee is a fourth generation San Pedran with a strong waterfront heritage; her Great-Great Grandfather worked the old lumber yards, her Great-Grandmother was a cannery worker, her Grandfather was a Merchant Marine and her Father was a welder for TODD Shipyards. While growing up near Peck Park, Romee maintained an active childhood playing AYSO Soccer, Bobby Sox Softball and participating in summer aquatics at Peck Park. Romee is a proud member of the Cabrillo Crew, a Bandini Bear and a Dodson Dolphin. She is also very proud to have started her professional life, at the age of 10, as one of the last youth carriers for the San Pedro News-Pilot.
In August of 2009, Romee started a blog project called San Pedro: Block by Block. When the project ended in June of 2010, Romee had walked every street in San Pedro, visited every park and learned a great deal about her hometown. The following year Romee decided to start a walking tour company, Townee Tours, as a way to continue sharing the rich and interesting history of San Pedro.
